  • I have a compelling educational reason with a parent note.
  • I have an empty spot in my schedule.
  • I took this already.
  • I have the same class twice.
  • I am missing a core academic class.
  • I am not in the right level placement, such as Honors.
  • My schedule says “See Counselor.”
  • I did not take the prerequisite.

Reasons that usually do not qualify

  • I want to take this at a different hour.
  • I do not know anyone in that class.
  • I do not want to take P.E. in the morning or afternoon.
  • I do not like the teacher.
  • I want to change my advisory.
  • There is someone in my class I do not like.
  • I want to be in the same class as my friend or significant other.
  • I just do not like this class.
